Charity screening of the film “Czorny Kozak” in Warsaw
On Wednesday, 4 November at 18:00, Euromaidan Warsaw invites you to a charity screening of the Ukrainian film “Czorny Kozak”. The screening will take place at pl. Konstytucji 6 (“Rodzinna Europa”).
It is a historical fantasy tale about love and the mysticism of the Cossack spirit. The film was based on stories by the Ukrainian storyteller Saszko Lirnyk. It was made by the amateur Folk Film Studio “Malwa”. The work lasted ten years and was financed through community fundraising. More than 500 people took part in the production, including historians, actors, musicians, and villagers.
A special highlight of the evening will be an online meeting with the director, Władysław Czabaniuk.
Cossack legends return to the big screen, this time in the heart of Warsaw.
