What does daily work in the foreign service look like and what challenges does the border region face today? Jacek Kluczkowski, Polish Ambassador to Ukraine in 2005–2010 and to Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan in 2011–2015, will answer these questions for students and all interested parties.
📅 Date: November 3, 2026
🕑 Time: 2:00 PM
📍 Location: WSPA, ul. Bursaki 12, Lublin, room 223
🎙️ Host: Dr. Jarosław Kit
🏛️ Organizers: University of Entrepreneurship and Administration in Lublin, WSPA International Relations Student Research Group, Regional Center for International Debate in Lublin
The meeting at WSPA will be devoted to two topics. The first is the profession of a diplomat: what the career path in the Polish foreign service looks like and what an ambassador does on a daily basis. The second is cross-border security, with particular emphasis on the challenges facing the border region.
The guest of the meeting is a historian, diplomat, and publicist who for years represented Poland in Kyiv, Astana, and Bishkek. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Jarosław Kit, supervisor of the International Analysis and Globalization Student Research Club.
The event is primarily aimed at students of international relations, members of the student research club, and those beginning their studies in internal security. However, the organizers invite everyone interested in diplomacy and international security. This is an opportunity to talk with an experienced diplomat and get a behind-the-scenes look at Polish foreign policy.
