The Ukrainian quartet DakhaBrakha is setting off on a European tour to promote the new album “Ptakh”, which in Ukrainian means “Bird”. In Poland, the band will play two concerts: on Sunday, 15 November at 20:00 in Wrocław, at the Zaklęte Rewiry club (ul. Krakowska 100), and on Tuesday, 15 December at 20:00 in Kraków, at Klub Kwadrat.
The musicians have been working on the new record over the last few years. The songs tell of Ukrainian resistance and strength of spirit, as well as the support Ukraine receives from people all over the world. The title bird is a symbol of freedom and the voice of Ukraine for the band.
Where did “ethno-chaos” come from? That’s what the artists themselves call their style. DakhaBrakha was formed at the Kyiv experimental theatre “Dakh”. The band combines traditional Ukrainian folk songs with rhythms and instruments from various parts of the world.
Tickets cost 149 PLN plus service fees. They can be purchased via Fource.pl, eBilet.pl and Ticketmaster.pl. The organizer of the concerts is Fource Entertainment.
